Comparability of Services is a fiscal requirement for recipients of Title I-A funds under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). It requires Local educational agencies (LEAs) that receive Title I-A funds to demonstrate, through reporting, that they use their state and local funds to provide comparable services at their schools receiving Title I-A funds and their schools that are not receiving Title I, I-A funds. If the LEA serves all of its schools with Title I funds, the LEA must use State and local funds to provide services that, taken as a whole, are substantially comparable in each Title I school.
