[RIDE] - submitting critical daily attendance/absentee data |
Dr. Ken Gu - SEA |
The Office of Network and Information Systems has been directed by the Director of Health, Dr. Gifford, the Commissioner of Education, Peter McWalters, and the Governor’s Office to collect Daily attendance. This data is critical to identifying potential outbreaks of the swine flu and may be used when considering school closures.
The data should be submitted no later than 2:00 P.M. every day.
For those of you that are already submitting daily attendance, please continue to do so. For those of you who are not currently submitting, there are three options available.
The three ways that this data may be transferred to RIDE are as follows:
1. eRIDE – Upload through eRIDE using either the manual submission process or using the ADT
2. RINET Districts - If your district is part of the RINET collaborative using SchoolMax, RINET can submit this data on your behalf on a daily basis.
3. Spreadsheet - Upload an excel spreadsheet on a daily basis to the eRIDE File Share module. If you do not have this module, please email the RIDE helpdesk. The procedure for submitting this was is as follows:
a. Download the spreadsheet for your school district:
i. https://www.eride.ri.gov/attendancexls/districtfiles.html
b. Fill in the required columns in the excel spreadsheet.
c. Rename the spreadsheet in the following format:
i. Districtcode_districtname_date (e.g., 01_barrington_05_01_09.xls)
d. Upload the completed file through the eRIDE File Share Module
We appreciate your continued support and diligence on this matter.
If you are unable to fulfill this request please contact the RIDE Helpdesk Immediately.
Thank You,
