[RIDE] - 2008 cohort graduation rates to release today |

| This is to inform you that the State is about to release the graduation rates for 2008 based on the new cohort formula. Click on Data on RIDE's public Website or http://www.ride.ri.gov/RIDE/Data.aspx later today for the new graduation rates by districts, high schools and for the State, methodology, frequently asked questions and answers.
As a district data/IT manager, you may be asked by your school administrators and others how the State collects the cohort data which are used to calculate the rates. The best resources you may want to use to refresh your understanding of the entire process is the 'Update Student Exits' application in your eRIDE portal that you used to edit, verify and sign off the cohort data. Within that application, there are step-by-step instructions on how the exit data are collected and coded and how they are plugged into the cohort formula.
