| This is to inform you that Measured Progress has emailed you the following memo regarding the enrollment information for the upcoming NECAP testing in the fall.

The administration of the New England Common Assessment Program (NECAP) will be conducted in grades 3-8 and 11 in all schools on October 1-24, 2007. This letter is written to solicit your assistance in verifying/updating school and enrollment information so that Measured Progress, the testing contractor, can prepare for shipping test materials to schools.
In early July, the Department of Education provided Measured Progress with projected enrollment numbers and contact information for grades 3-8 and 11 in all schools for the fall of 2007. The RI Department understands the enrollment numbers may not be accurate for a fall test, so we are offering districts an opportunity to verify/update that information during the two-week period of August 6-17, 2007. However, keep in mind that schools will be sent a 10% overage of test materials for slight variations in enrollment numbers.
It is recommended that each district data manager go to http://iservices.measuredprogress.org during that period of time to review the enrollment and contact information of each school in your district and make any changes if necessary. Enrollment updates should include only the total number of students at each tested grade level. The attached set of instructions (which includes your username and password) will guide you through this process.
Schools that need to order Braille or Large Print test materials must call the Measured Progress Service Center at 1-877-632-7774. You will be asked to provide a student name and a state assigned student ID number for each set of materials that you order. The deadline for accepting Braille and Large Print orders is August 17. This deadline is necessary to ensure that the appropriate quantities can be produced in time for the test shipments in early September.
