| National Center on Education Statistics (NCES) creates and maintains a global ID for every district and school in the nation, including non-public schools. This NCES ID is often required in your grant application for federal funding.
The NCES ID can easily be located by visiting the NCES Web site (http://nces.ed.gov/), click on 'School, College and Library Search' from the top menu to start the search.
