RIDE - the latest on review of High Standards demographic file |

| This message is sent to all district superindentents and data managers.
Beginning from tomorrow May 12th, all LEAs will start reviewing and updating the Demographic information for students who took the Spring High Standards tests in ELA and Math for grades 4, 8 and 11. The letter from the Director of Assessment and set of instructions have already been emailed to you through the listservs. For a copy of the letter and general instructions, please go to: http://www.eride.ri.gov/si4sa_update/instructions.asp
Because the final updated demographic information will be used to disaggregate the test results by sub-groups and programs, it is absolutely critical that all of the indicated demographic information be carefully reviewed (and updated if necessary) by May 18th; Missing data or inaccurately reported information will result in mis-classification of your school and district.
A Web-based application has been delivered to LEA data managers for district-wide distribution through eRIDE. Please call or email me (222-4600x2241, kengu@ride.ri.net) for any system related questions.
