[RIDE] - Course Coding information |
Deanna Raphael-State |
Dear Data Managers/IT Directors,
On Friday, RIDE shared details on the course coding process with your principals in order to complete the course coding for all courses at the high school level. Below is a copy of the email that was sent to your principals (or appropriate individual(s) who assisted RIDE with course coding in your LEA).
-----------------------------------------------------
As you know I have been hired by RIDE to code all of your courses to the national standards. We are also coding career and technical course to the national standards. That information is now available on eRIDE through a course mapping module. If you have an eRIDE account, please request access to this module through the RIDE Help Desk. If you do not have an eRIDE account, please reach out to your district data manager to gain access. Once logged in, please review your information. Items are highlighted because we do not have enough information to complete course coding for that course. Reasons for the highlighted items include:
1. The course has 2 course levels. Each course can include only one course level.
2. The course identifier is used for more than one course. Each course within a school must have a unique course identifier.
3. The course is missing required information such as course level, course credits, etc.
Please review the highlighted items and provide corrections as soon as possible – but no later than June 15 - to Mary Neuman at mneuman_associates@cox.net. If you have questions about coding questions, please contact Mary Neuman. If you have any technical questions about the module, please contact Betty Landry at Elizabeth.Landry@ride.ri.gov.
In the future, you will be able to make all changes to your Program of Studies through this module. Guidance and an FAQ about the module will be made available shortly.
Thanks, Mary
