[RIDE] - IMPORTANT - Deadlines, WebEx Changes, New Module |

Good morning,
This is a reminder that your district's submission and snapshot reports are due at the end of business on Thursday, October 28th, 2010. The snapshot date should be October 1, 2010. Prior to sign-off (district level signed by the Superintendent), please make sure to check and resolve your duplicates and demographic differences. While reviewing the reports, it is imperative that you take the time to verify that the numbers under the different groupings (Lunch, IEP, SEC 504, LEP, etc.) are correct. As a reminder from our Finance office, many funding decisions are connected to free and reduced lunch eligibility such as:
- The new state education funding formula,
- Outside school hour programs,
- The Summer Food Service Program,
- Distribution/eligibility of other Federal and State funding,
- e-Rate Program (reduced utilities cost for schools),
- Interest free loans for schools (based on the Federal Tax Payers Relief Act of 1997), and
- Reduction in student loans for teachers who teach in high poverty school districts to name a few.
Each student must have an address record, we will be emailing you a list of SASIDs that are missing addresses; these addresses must be uploaded by noon on Monday, the 25th. If you use the Automated Data Transfer Agent, please make sure to view your validation errors and make the necessary changes.
The At-Home Instructed, June Graduating Class, and Non-Certified Class reports are due on Friday, November 12th, 2010.
During Tuesday’s WebEx we will be demonstrating the At-Home Instructed, Graduating Class, and Non-Certified Class reports. We will also be demonstrating a new module called “School Profile” which will be rolled out after the demonstration. Data within this module must be reviewed to ensure an accurate and timely online publication of the 2010-2011 Educational Directory. It is necessary to update the information currently on file for your school district. Please update all of the incorrect or missing information found. If you need to open, close or change a school name, please use the forms link at the top of the application. The information must be updated and completed no later than Friday, November 5th. The official online release of the 2010-2011 Educational Directory, will be on Monday, November 8th. This information will be mentioned in the Commissioner’s field memo to the Superintendents on Friday, October 29th.

Our WebEx sessions for Tuesday, November 2nd, and Tuesday, November 9th are cancelled. We will hold sessions on Friday, October 29th at 2pm and November 12th at 10am instead, and then continue with our regularly scheduled sessions on Tuesday mornings at 9:30am.
